Baby Boy Card

I made this card a few weeks ago but never got around to posting it. It was literally made in 10 minutes before I went to church one Wednesday night for a girl in our church who had just had a baby boy. No cricut on this one, since I didn't have enough time to even look through my handbooks to choose a cut!

The blue striped paper is from a baby boy pad of paper I got at Walmart on clearance a few years ago. I cut it at 5 3/4" x 6 3/4". The contrasting strip is white cardstock cut at 2" x 6 3/4". I embossed it with the baby cuttlebug folder then inked it with baby blue ink from Martha Stewart. For the stamped image I cut a 3" x 3" square of white, and matted it with a square of baby blue cardstock cut 1/4 inch larger. On the inside of the card I added baby blue cardstock. The stamps both on the outside and inside are from a Close to My Heart stamp set called Baby Miracles. I love this set because you can add color to the images, but they look great just stamped as well. I stamped them in Cocoa ink from Close to My Heart. Sorry the pictures are so dark. I was in such a hurry that I didn't have time to take a picture so my husband took one with his iphone at the church. Thanks for looking!!

Jungle Shape Album

This is my first shape album and I love the way it turned out!! I'm going to put my son's pictures from his birthday party in it. All of the rectangles were from the Plantin Schoolbook and the other cuts were from Zooballoo. My favorite page is the last one that has the hidden photo mat. It was made using the card feature on Zooballoo. All of the paper was from the Animal Cracker stack from Die Cuts with a View. The card at the end was made with Core'dinations. I want to give a big thanks to Bug Junkie who has a great series of videos on her blog that show step by step how to make shape albums. If you want to check our her blog, click on the button to the side. Hope you enjoy!!

Butterfly Birthday Card

Hi, everyone!! I've been busy crafting lately, but haven't done too well keeping up with posting. This is a quick birthday card I made last week. The butterfly is from the cricut cartridge Simply Sweet and cut at 4 inches. It's hard to tell in the picture, but I ran it's body through my xyron and covered the antenna with white sugar glitter by doodlebug. It's body I covered with green flocking also from doodlebug. (Flocking is my new addiction, btw!) I embossed the wings with the divine swirls cuttlebug folder then went over the swirls with my zig two way glue pen and covered with glitter as well. Hope you enjoy!!
